After all the pomp and ceremony of Nike’s recent hybrids, the Air Max 90/1 is pretty low-key. It forgoes the ostentatious innovation of the Air Max 270 or VaporMax Plus, opting instead to show off its hybrid heritage with quiet confidence.
Now, having already taken on the AM1s ‘University Red’, it’s repping the famed Air Max 90 ‘Laser Blue’ colourway. The hybrid is colour-blocked just like the 90s favourite, with a grey Swoosh, black mudguard, and the eponymous blue hitting the midsole and lacestays.
If flashy mash-ups aren’t your thing, these will show your Air Max acumen without screaming it from the rooftops.
Japanese retailers like Yamao Toko are slating an August 2 drop date, but the rest of the world will have to wait a bit longer. We’ll let you know.
